Dave: Did you know that the Hebrew Bible predicted Jesus’ address?
Jeff: 2842 Vermon Ave? I had no … idea…
Dave: Stop that.
Jeff: Sorry.
Dave: The Bible gave specific predictions about where the Messiah would come from.
Jeff: The Messiah would be a descendant of Abraham according to Genesis 12:1-3.
Dave: And, of the tribe of Judah says Genesis 49:10.
Jeff: But, also, that the Messiah would come from the house of David (2 Sam 7:14)
Dave: And he would be born in Bethlehem – Micah 5:2.
Jeff: This is basically an address!! Compare it to you. Think back to your great-great-great-great grandfather. Take all the people who came from him.
Dave: Then divide that group into dozens or hundreds of groups.. .and select just the ONE group you are in.
Jeff: Then find the most prominent youngest son of those descendants.
Dave: Then choose ONLY the town you were born in. How many people could fit into that group of people?
Jeff: Probably only you… and maybe some of your siblings.
Dave: The Bible made the lineage of the Messiah clear – and Jesus fits it perfectly!
