Doctrinal Requirements
The doctrinal requirement list, to participate in the radio ads with us, is much smaller than most Church’s doctrinal statements. We want to be able to include many Churches, even if we have some differences.
However, your Church must believe and teach:
- Grace, from Jesus Christ, is the only means of salvation; no other works, religions, or concepts bring us salvation.
- The Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. It is not merely a good or wise book.
- Jesus Christ is the Christ, son of God, God in flesh. His life was sinless, his miracles were real, and his death on the cross was atonement for our sins and his death and resurrection was victory of Satan.
- Salvation for the lost requires faith, and includes regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
- God’s words (typically referred to as Scripture) are the highest authority for us.
Particular Teachers, teachings, and Styles
There are few teachers/teachings that I, Revolution’s Pastor, feel pretty strongly about. You would agree that, though we may not see eye to eye on these exactly, your church wouldn’t be involved in these teachers, teachings, or styles.
- Teachers like Joel Osteen and Benny Hinn are not promoted in the Church.
- No teaching that God desires us to obtain worldly wealth.
- Overtly ritualistic waving of incense (unless it’s a mere symbol, and is hopefully explained) is not done.
- No transcendental meditation is done.
- Abortion, homosexual sex, and sex outside of marriage are taught as sinful.
- There is no praying to dead people, or asking dead people to pray for you.
