Dave: One scientific expert has suggested that they can reproduced every feeling associated with God, in the lab.
Jeff: Well… No doubts here!
Dave: Even drugs can produce what many people would call a “Spiritual experience.”
Jeff: Does this mean that God is a figment of our imagination?
Dave: Or that he is an evolutionary byproduct?
Jeff: Nah. Christians have actually taught for thousands of years that the body and soul are intrinsically linked together.
Dave: [speaking slowly] When the soul leaves the body, and is present with God – that is unnatural.
Jeff: Yes! Our natural state is to have a body/soul unity! So the fact that a scientist could potentially interact with, or even artificially create, a Spiritual experience, is NO problem for Christians.
Dave: In fact, our ultimate goal is physical resurrection! Philippians 3:21 says Jesus, “will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.”
Jeff: The mind, the Spirit, and the physical body are linked together. Science is finally confirming what we Christians have always said.
