God wants pain for you? What does that mean?

What is it like to win?

In football, the players have to feel pain in order to be able to win. Practice is painful at times.

A coach that won’t push and discipline his players is not a good coach.

The same goes with parenting!

The job of a parent is to make children do what they don’t want to do (including discipline) to be the best they can be.

Proverbs 13:24

Many good qualities are borne out of discipline.

Neglect is considered abuse. We say neglecting to discipline your child is just as bad.

Good discipline is needed if you want children to grow up to be

God wants pain for you so that he can shape and grow you through it.

Jesus endured suffering from sinners even though He had done nothing wrong. He had to endure it so that He could become what God wanted Him to become: Savior of the World!

Sometimes you make the RIGHT choice and it’s painful

The job of a good God is to make you do what you don’t want to do so that you could have eternal life.

God is not content to watch you be content with your spiritual state.

Sometimes discipline doesn’t hurt… sometimes it stretches you to make you better.

When you don’t get discipline, it can cause an undue sense of entitlement.

two mistakes that people make:

• When we face hardships, we make light of it. It dishonors God’s discipline.
• When we face hardships, we lose heart

Don’t give in to those temptations because you will be totally missing what God has planned for you. Embrace discipline and hardship knowing that it can change you into the person that God wants you to be.
