What can we deduce from Luke 16:19-31?
Will we recognize friends and family in Heaven?
- Genesis 25:8-9 The old testament uses the phrase “Gathered to his people” quite often for Godly people who died.
- 2 Samuel 12:23 David planned on seeing his child again.
- Matthew 8:11 Again, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob retain there individual identities and apparently we’ll be able to sit with them! We’ll recognize even them.
- 1 Thessalonians 4:17 We’ll be caught up “together” it says… obviously we’ll be together, having fellowship and knowing each other!

- When I get my new body will I be able to eat what I want and stay at an ideal weight?
Will There Be Animals in Heaven?
- Remember: Eden lost will be Eden restored
- Isaiah 11:6-9 describes God’s perfect world.
- There are “soulish” animals on earth
- Scripture does not teach that animals will be resurrected like humans but it is also not precluded.
