Topic Notes

  • Welcome!
  • 3 Mistakes most make when promoting the Young Earth view
  • Genesis and the Creation Miracles
    • bara (baw-raw) – Used only to describe God’s creating. These are “POOF” miracles
    • asa (aw-saw) – to do or make, generic term. Implies a recasting of existing material into new form (like using eggs, butter, flour to make a cake)
    • Haya – (haw-yaw) – “comes to pass” or “to be” … implies let nature to run its course, not referring to things that exist for the first time.
    • yasar – (yaw-tsar) – to mold into form (when God makes mankind out of dust/or animals)
  • Bara (POOF miracles)
    • Most young Earthers, or people who ridicule the Bible, read the creation account and believe that EVERYTHING is a “poof miracle.” But these are the only poof miracles.
    • Genesis 1:1
    • Genesis 1:21-22
    • Genesis 1:27
    • Genesis 2:4
  • Asa (recasting existing materiel into new form)
    • So what we are going to read is stuff that already existed (God already made it), but he is using things like a recipe, mixing it to make something new.
    • Genesis 1:16
    • Genesis 1:25
    • Genesis 1:26
    • Genesis 1:31
  • Haya (“comes to pass” or “to be” )
    • These verses imply that God let nature run its course, not referring to things that exist for the first time. It means these were NOT *POOF* miracles. They did not happen instantaneously but some kind of natural process happened over time.
    • Genesis 1:3
    • Genesis 1:6
    • Genesis 1:14-15
    • Genesis 1:31
  • Qavah (a verb meaning: “TO WAIT FOR!!”)
    • These verses imply that God let nature run its course, not referring to things that exist for the first time. It means these were NOT *POOF* miracles. They did not happen instantaneously but some kind of natural process happened over time.
    • Genesis 1:9

    LISTENER QUESTION

  • I have recently encountered two people who have received a notice to take a ‘chip’ in their hand containing their health info at their next appointment. One from WICK and another from a health care provider.

If I demonstrate that this chip involves 666, buying/selling and is in one’s hand – would that make you pause – is your flock strong enough to stand for God when this is rolled out next year or will they be deceived?
