Audio Transcript:

Dave: Every single person who hears this audio will face a difficult day.

Jeff: Some of you lost a loved one , are facing personal problems, financial
problems,

Dave: You are wondering where God is!

Jeff: And if you aren’t right now, you’ll probably be at that point sometime.

Dave: Psalm 46 is an awesome chapter reminding us who GOD is in times of
trouble

Jeff: God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble, it says.
(Psalm 46:1)

Dave: It continues “Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the
mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the
mountains quake with their surging.” (Psalms 46:2-3)

Jeff: Why don’t we always feel like that? Why when the waters roar and life gets
crazy do feel like he’s not near?

Dave: A little bit later, verse 10, we find a clue.

Jeff: It says, “Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10a)

Dave: This literally means, be silent… be idle. Almost.. be still and then know He is
God.

Jeff: Too often we cannot sense the presence of God when we need him, because
we don’t take the time to rest quietly and meditate on the knowledge that He is
God.
